Мы играли в нее каждое лето, когда были еще детьми, но из-за того, что он учился, и мне пришлось пойти в какой-то дополнительный класс для лучших оценок, мы почти не играли в шахматы вместе. Я думал, что нашей дружбе придет конец, но мы наконец-то встали после этого инцидента, и мы все еще лучшие друзья.

Friendship is one of the greatest blessings but not everyone is lucky enough to have a best friend. We meet a lot of people in the journey of life but there are only a few who leave a mark on us. My best friend is one such person who has made a positive impact on my life. We have been a part of each other’s lives for the longest time and our friendship is still developing. Most importantly, I feel extremely fortunate to have someone as a best friend in my life.

My best friend is also my cousin. We have been growing up together since I was born. Despite the fact that he is older than me, we still look the same age. He is a generous person and also a hard-working person. Whenever he sees someone who is in trouble, he is always there to help them. Moreover, he always finishes his work before everyone else. I remembered when we were learning at an English centre together, he was one of the top students in that centre. Although he likes soccer and I like basketball, we still have a sport that we both enjoy and that is chess. We played it every summer when we were still kids but due to his school schedule and the fact that I had to go to some extra classes to get better marks, we hardly played it together. I thought our friendship would come to an end but we finally got together again and we are still best friends.

In short, the bond I share with my best friend is one of my most prized possessions. Both of us inspire each other to become better humans. We push each other to do our best and we are always there when one of use is  in need. A best friend is indeed a precious gem and I am fortunate to have found that gem of my life.
