1. Listening Task: You will hear 5 speakers. Match each speaker A-E with the statements given in the list (1-6). Each statement can be used only once. There is one extra statement. Speaker A Speaker B Speaker C Speaker D Speaker E 1 I always wanted to work with children. 2 Not many people do what I do för a living 3 My career changed my life 4 I work from the comfort of my own home. 5 What I do feels more like a hobby than a real job. 6 My job gives me the chance to meet famous people. Speaker A: I always wanted to be successful from a very young age. I often felt like an outsider when I was with other children. They used to be out plang football while I was in my room creating works of art. My parents would tell me that it was just a useless lobby that would lead me nowhere. Thankfully, I proved them wrong! My persistence and talent got me to the top of my profession, and the way I'm living now is nothing compared to how I used to! Speaker B: When I was 10, my dad bought me a camera for my birthday. After that day, I just couldn't put it down! I kept taking snaps of anything I laid my eyes on. From what started as a hobby, though, motivated me to achieve my dreams and succeed as a professional. After working for top magazines, I've had the opportunity to work with some of the most successful and well-known celebrities on the planet! Speaker C: Becoming a teacher was a dream job for me ever since I was young. Both my parents were teachers, so I guess they motivated me in a way to follow in their footsteps. I never really had many hobbies while I was growing up, but I did enjoy spending time with my younger siblings. I guess it was from that moment on that 1 knew which career path to choose. I was always very patient. You have to be when it comes to teaching little ones! Speaker D: 1 was unemployed for quite some time, until I came across a position as a chocolate taster. It sounded really interesting and seemed more like a hobby to me than a real job. After I got the job, I realised it was rather demanding! Although it's great tasting chocolate all day, it requires a lot of travelling, correct judgment and working extra hard to burn off those extra kilos! Despite all that, I'm enjoying it. Plus, I feel fortunate knowing I have a job that is not as common as the rest. Speaker E: After becoming a mum, juggling both a career and a family was getting hard for me, so a friend of mine motivated me to set up my own online business. I was a bit hesitant at first, however, after d'while, lus career move really changed life for myself and my family! I get to spend more time with them during the day and I don't feel as stressed as Tused to. I strongly recommend it to other working parents out there, it's great doing a job you enjoy without having to exit your front door! помогите пожалуйста!!!!
